With Guest Speaker Monty Browning!
This man has traveled the world with a bow. Done it all, seen it all. Written about it, told of it. He really needs no introduction, but below is a glimpse of his incredible life and accomplishments!
Monty has traveled the world extensively in search of exciting and challenging bowhunting adventures. From battling the wilderness alone, experiencing bear charges, and taking an African Cape Buffalo at 10 yards, his 40 years of thrilling adventures inspire the bowhunting community around the globe!
Monty's first trip to Alaska was in 1979 and he fell in love with the wild, diverse and untamable territory. For over 25 seasons he has hunted Alaska taking Moose, Caribou and World Record Brown Bear. His backcountry adventures of 30 days alone in the Alaskan bush are legendary! He is no stranger to being alone in the wilderness for weeks, and has many stories and insights to share with fellow bow hunting enthusiasts. Monty's book " Bowhunting: A Passion for Life " is a work of art. His writing style draws you close to the hunt in the same way he stalks his prey with his bow.
Monty has no corporate sponsors and has paid for his own hunts by working 30 years in the local post office. Now retired, he “climbs and trims sixty-foot pine trees” to pay for his hunting adventures, which have taken him around the world.
For those of us who have been fortunate to listen to Monty speak at other events, it’s mandatory listening. For those who have not heard him sculpt a good story, just take our word for it!
