About Me
Born in Mayville, Wisconsin, into a family that held bow hunting in high regard, it’s no wonder why my passion for hunting has grown so much over the years. While growing up, I had the pleasure to spend many days in the field with my grandfather, father and cousins, hunting in both WI and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It was there that my burning desire to hunt was forged.

After high school, I enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in Kansas, which surprisingly was my first choice. I spent nearly 7 years there and enjoyed hunting their impressive whitetails as well as everything else I could buy a tag for.

Wanting to experience more mountain hunting and not being able to afford many out of state trips to the west each year, we decided to move to Idaho. While there, we took advantage of everything their mountains, rivers and deserts had to offer and it was a true blessing to learn so much.

I was once told that in order to make fantastic memories, you must go to fantastic places, what better place than Alaska? Hunting in Alaska is a dream for many who crave adventure and wild places, so we moved here in 2013 and plan to make it our home for many years to come. In two short years I have been fortunate enough to travel to many places inside Alaska to hunt, from South East to Bethel, Cold Bay to Deadhorse, and many in between. Having hunted several states, species and sharing camps with many like-minded and driven hunters, I understand the issues bowhunting faces; specifically hunter recruitment/retention as it plays an instrumental role in conservation and the future of hunting.

My wife Stefanie and I both love bowhunting, we care deeply about its future and the opportunities we have. As the new director of the Fairbanks region, I plan to contribute all that I can to aid in the growth and success of the Alaska Bowhunter Association.
